Pool Update at Marevilla Apartments Cozumel – from “forever project” to splash-ready 🏊‍♀️🌴

There are things you grow fond of over time—your morning coffee, the sound of the ocean, or that perfectly broken-in favorite sweater. Our half-finished pool? Yeah… not one of those things. For a very long time, we walked past it every single day. Morning, noon, night. Always there. Always unfinished. A kind of quiet roommate on our property, gently (and not so gently) reminding us that “someday” should probably show up at some point.

Well—plot twist: that day has arrived. We’ve decided to finally turn the page on the pool saga, with a happy ending officially in sight.

Progress at Marevilla Cozumel

For the past few days, there’s been craftsman action again at Marevilla Apartments Cozumel. Our masons are hard at work, giving the pool the full makeover it’s been patiently waiting for. Old plaster is being removed, problem areas are repaired, and the water lines are properly sealed. In short: everything that sat on the to-do list a bit too long is now being tackled—step by step, properly, and with purpose.

Sure, there’s a little dust and the occasional

sound of tools—but don’t worry. Our guests

always come first. That’s why we make a point of avoiding any noisy or disruptive work whenever guests are staying in one of our apartments. Peace, relaxation, and vacation vibes are non-negotiable at Marevilla Cozumel.

Counting down to the first splash

If everything goes according to plan (and yes, we are all crossing our fingers), we expect to take the first refreshing dip sometime in February. Just imagining it already puts us in a great mood: sunshine, palm trees, a finished pool, and relaxed days in Cozumel. Basically, Caribbean vacation perfection.

The pool will soon be another spot to unwind, cool off, and enjoy—whether after a beach day, a diving or snorkeling trip, or just because floating around sounds like a good idea.

We’re incredibly happy to take this next step for our apartments in Cozumel and want to thank you all for your patience, loyalty, and the many kind messages over the past months. Some projects take longer than planned—but in the end, it’s the result that matters. And we promise: this one will be worth it.
