A sunny "hola" from Marevilla Apartments Cozumel!
Do you remember our blog post from December 2025, when we told you we were finally going to tackle our swimming pool?
What followed were nearly two months of hammering, pouring concrete, building forms, measuring, re-measuring, improving ideas, making adjustments, smoothing things out — and slowly watching it all come together.
When the pump and filter were finally installed, we had that magical moment of looking at each other and thinking: “Wait… this might actually work!”
After that came several more days — with the truly amazing help of our two friends from Bavaria… THANK YOU! — sealing, pressure-washing the surrounding walls, priming, painting, and putting on all the finishing touches.
We’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful people who supported this project. You helped turn this dream into reality Muchas gracias 💙!
And now we can officially announce:
Water’s perfect. Vibes are chill. Pool’s open. 🤙 And wow, was it worth the wait!
Today, it’s the sparkling heart of our little oasis right in downtown Cozumel — shimmering in Caribbean blue, inviting, and ready for everything a great vacation should be.
It’s big enough for real swimming — just smooth, stylish laps if you’re feeling sporty 😉. At the same time, it has the perfect depth for guests who’ve booked their dive course with Aldora Divers to start getting comfortable in the water practically right outside their apartment door. Ease in, get relaxed, and then head out into the big blue Caribbean — not a bad way to start the day.
In the morning, you can swim your laps. In the afternoon, float lazily in the shade. And in the evening, settle into one of the built-in pool seats with a refreshing drink in hand. Feet in the water, warm Caribbean air on your skin — and suddenly you remember exactly why you booked this trip.
Our garden has transformed into a little gathering place. There’s laughter, splashing, relaxing. New vacation friendships form here. And sometimes the big question of the day is: “Do we jump back in… or should we throw a steak (or maybe a sausage) on the grill first?”
And once that delicious smell drifts through the garden, maybe an elegant splash back into the pool follows.
However you do it… it’s simply wonderful. ☀️
Our pool has officially left its Sleeping Beauty days behind and is now the lively center of Marevilla. A place to cool off, unwind, and truly arrive.
We can’t wait to see you swimming, relaxing, and enjoying it soon.
